Wellington’s Cassadee Pope has done lot in the last few years: Won NBC’s “The Voice.” a hit with “Wasting All These Tears,” a CMT docuseries, and now a CMT Award for Best Breakthrough Video. And last week, she accomplished an even trickier feat: She got on the radar of notoriously particular fashion bloggers Tom and Lorenzo and though her look wasn’t judged a home run, she at least got on base.

TLo, as their followers (of which I am one) call them, have great fun doing both intricate and quick critiques of celebrity wearables, taking great glee in breaking down red carpet looks. And it is here that they found our Cassadee, wearing a top and skirt by Theia. They said of the slightly stomach-baring look that “the skirt looks way too much like an inverted flower to our liking, and the top looks like it was made out of a set of dishcloths, but we’ll give her some credit for trying to do something a little different.”
So, yeah…it’s not an overwhelming endorsement, but TLo does enjoy a star who takes some risks, even when it doesn’t work. And they were much kinder to Cassadee than, say, Miranda Lambert (wife of Pope’s “The Voice” mentor Blake Shelton, who they thought looked like the “tackiest administrative assistant at the office holiday party!” or “Veronica Mars”‘ Kristen Bell, who looked like “she sounds crunchy when she moves!”
